Summer is around the corner and we thought it was time to celebrate with a special tour to get us in the mood for the upcoming season and all the things we love about summer in the Western Cape.
The tour will start with an early morning pick up at your Cape Town hotel, where you will be whisked away on a 40-50 min drive to the winelands. Our first activity of the day is a walk through the magnificent gardens at Babylonstoren. It is a magical time of year to explore the gardens with their abundance of flora coming into full bloom. After our morning stroll we will visit their boutique winery to sample 5 of their wines (does not include flagship range).
After all that walking and drinking you will have worked up quite an appetite, so it’s time for the ultimate summer experience, a picnic in the winelands. We head to Boschendal wine estate where you will enjoy a picnic on the lawns. The tour includes a picnic to share between two but does not include any other beverages and bottles of wine which will be for your own account.
After our relaxing picnic we head along the scenic Hellshoogte Pass to another iconic winery, Tokara. Here you can sample wines from their diverse portfolio and marvel in the magnificent valley views. Tokara not only produce award winning wines but are also an olive estate, produce a Potstill brandy and have an incredible art collection.
Our final stop of the day is Simonsig, where you can sample the Kaapse Vonkel, which was the first ever Methode Cap Classique to be made and is today produced in exactly the same way. Nothing quite says summer like a bubbly, so this is the perfect way to toast to a perfect day in the winelands before we head back to Cape Town.

The tour costs R3000 for 2 people
A 50% deposit must be paid to secure this tour and must be booked at least 3 days in advance. This tour is also a special and is only available from now until the 15th of December 2016.
